Victory Community Centre (VCC) is a Community Centre located in Nelson's multi - cultural Victory Village

  • A range of health services
  • A large programme of activities and events
  • Advocacy and support for community members
  • A place to gather and meet other people.

Victory Community Centre Facilities & Services

Victory Community Centre manages a gymnasium style hall and a meeting room with a kitchen, both of which are available for hire.

We host a number of external services including midwives, Plunket nurse, and sexual health services.

Our in-house services include Addiction Support (including Drug and Other Alcohol), Navigation services for migrants and former refugees and a Community Nurse.

We facilitate community celebrations (eg. Matariki, Lark in the Park), oversee the community gardens, provide social opportunities and the Victory on the Move programme (more information available on our Events page)

Victory Community Centre Notice Board

Victory Community Kai Shed

Monday - Friday the Victory Community Centre receives donations from the Kai Rescue, as well as community donations.

We have a Kai shed set up for your convenience with easy access to bread, fruit and vegetables.

The shed is generally stocked up at 9am and again at 2pm daily.

Kai parcels are available for families who need a little extra help. These are done daily Monday - Friday before 11am.

Koha Shed

Located within the Victory Community carpark is the Nelson Koha Shed.

The Koha shed purpose is to help alleviate the negative effects of poverty in our community.

They help provide furnishings, clothing, linen,  kitchenware, toys anything a Family in need requires.
